Key Stage 3 Exams
Y7/8/9 Revision Information
Further to the newsletter from Mr Stones dated 6th June, you will be aware that our students in Year 7, 8 and 9 will sit internal examinations for most of their subjects. These will take place towards the end of the summer term. For maths, English and science, examinations will take place in full exam conditions, located in the exam hall, in order to give students the experience of sitting examinations in the way that they will for real at the end of Year 11. Assessments for all other subjects will take place during lesson time. Students will receive personal timetables on Monday 16th June. These can also be accessed via MCAS from this date.
All examinations will assess the skills and knowledge learned throughout the year. It is imperative that students try their very best throughout all examinations as the results provide teachers with crucial information regarding how best to support your child, and their areas of development, as they prepare for next year.
In order to support your child with their revision, our subject teachers in maths, English and science have prepared a ‘How to Revise’ document. These contain important information about how to revise, where to access revision materials and what topic areas to focus on. When available, these will be available for you to download from this page and a hard copy will also be given to your child via their form tutor.
